Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026 · Applies to this website and The Atelier's intake quiz.

1. Who we are

The Atelier is the positioning studio of Home Abroad ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact for all privacy matters: hello@homeabroadhq.com.

2. Data we collect

Identity and contact data: your name and email address, when you submit the quiz or email us. Professional context: your quiz answers, and any links you choose to share (LinkedIn, your website, your Substack). Technical data: aggregated, privacy-respecting analytics — pages viewed, referral source, device type, and approximate region derived from IP. We do not collect payment details through this website; payment for engagements is handled under separate written agreements.

3. How we collect it

Directly from you, through the intake quiz and email; and automatically, through basic page analytics. We do not buy data about you and we do not enrich your profile from data brokers.

4. Why we use it

To prepare and send your personalised quiz read; to respond when you contact us; to schedule and prepare for calls you request; to keep simple internal records of enquiries; and to understand, in aggregate, how the site performs. Legal bases: your consent (quiz and email submissions) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site (analytics).

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we run no advertising networks on this site. Your data is processed by the service providers who run our infrastructure: website hosting, Google Workspace (email, spreadsheets, and call scheduling), Google Analytics (aggregate site statistics), our scheduling provider, and our internal Notion workspace — each under their own data-processing agreements. If we ever engage a new category of processor, this policy will be updated first.

6. Cookies and tracking

This site uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. We use local storage in your own browser to remember quiz progress (it never leaves your device until you submit), and Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used — pages visited, rough location, device type. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies for this purpose — and only after you accept the small notice on your first visit; decline it and no analytics runs at all. It is not used for advertising, and we never share its data beyond that. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, block cookies in your browser settings, and clear local storage at any time.

7. Retention

Quiz submissions and correspondence are kept while we're in conversation with you, then deleted within 24 months of last contact unless you become a client — client records are kept as law and contract require.

8. Your rights

You may request a copy of your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent for future contact — at any time, free of charge. Email hello@homeabroadhq.com and we act on it promptly. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.

9. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes are flagged plainly on this page. Questions, requests, or concerns: hello@homeabroadhq.com.
